, an international Gospel crooner this weekend when he set foot on the soil of his fatherland, Igede in Obi L.G.A. of Benue state Nigeria for the first time in his life. Steve Crown
who was home to bury his uncle, Ex-man, Ode Okolo (pepper Soup) on Friday and Saturday, 25th-26th August was triumphantly received with a broke in loud standing ovations from the crowd by the Ito Gospel Artists Association
lead by the branch chairman, Mr. Adoga Mathew Adekpee
soon after the funeral service.
At the Freedom Chapel Church Obarike Ito 5:PM, the glamorous event which has no selected audience begins and the atmosphere was filled with songs and shouts of joy as the Nigerian international most celebrated Gospel music act ministers in his soil (village) for the first time in his life and Facebookers begins snapping and posting right from the church arena. Steve Crow seized the opportunity offered by his august visit to get in touch with the Igede home based music legends in the likes of Mr. Adoga Mathew, Abraham Okwe, James Ijere, Friday Idu, John Odum, and lots more.
The event was also witnessed by some of Igede sons and daughters finest Gospel music acts like Prince Ohejam, G.Prince, Mike Ijwo, Comfort Ogaji, Martha Edeh and many other Igede celebrities. Several men and women of God, pastors, bishops, music groups, music lovers all over the Igede land were some of the hundreds of guests and worshipers who thronged the Freedom Chapel church auditorium Obarike, Ito, venue of the event to watch their son minister and entertain them with his electrifying and sprit-filed performance. Noticing the presence of his father who watched the show from the backstage alongside some elders, Steve said. “I promise to keep coming back. If you all will have me, I’ll keep coming back. Shout out to my dad and our pace setters/mentors, Mr. Adoga Mathew, Abraham Okwe, James Ijere, Friday Idu, John Odum, as he takes a bow for them. In between ministration/performances, Steve Overwhelmed by his homecoming, rated Igede musicians high, saying “the land has great musicians.” He disclosed that he’s presently collaborating with some local artistes to make an impact on the nation and global’s music scene.
